Property Name : Triple B Lake
Reservation Date : 05/28/2025 AM -
Total Fish/Sizes : 18 bass only 2 over 14"
Lures Used : olive woolly bugger and plastics

Fished by myself the morning of 5/28/25.The road to the lake has a nice solid base. The lake is full with visibility of 18”.

Next time I will bring two fly rods with me.This turned out to be a great fly rod lake. Caught 30 shell crackers and bream plus six bass on the fly rod using an olive woolly and # 12 gold ribbed hare’s ear. The red ear were were 1 ½ ft to 6 inches  deep and all on the large size. The bluegill were generally in deeper water.Only one small bluegill in the bunch.

As expected the bass were small and mostly caught on a 4” wat/mellon seed wacky both shallow and around the brush piles.. The brush piles held both bass and blue  gills but no red ears.Caught 18 bass and released 2 over 14”. Not a single crappie.I was hoping the this would be a  good crappie lake after the Crappie Queen caught a nice one in this tank.

I only covered 60 % of the lake before running out of time.

You mean this queen Joe, haha. I think the crappie were no longer spawning, but they were shallow at the time so they're much easier to catch. Because I don't fly fish, I have no idea what these terms are? Shell crackers, olive woolly, and ribbed hares ear without pics :).

I may have to go back out and throw smaller baits in deeper areas to catch crappie to keep.
