I hunted Sat and Sunday at Van Alstyne.  On Saturday, lots of ducks in the area.  I used the blind that was set-up there and it works really well with wind out of the South.  I had quite a few groups set up and even land in my decoys.  I got three duck, and I hate to admit that. I should have limited out, but I think my shooting seemed a little rusty. All smaller local ducks.  Sunday not much was flying, a few ducks on water in other areas, so it was a slow AM. 

Not a bad lake at all to hunt, there should be a good amount of ducks on this lake throughout the year.
