Legacy Oaks Ranch near Davilla provides a snap shot of what a beautful lake should look like in Southwest Texas.  High grass up to edge of lake with cattle and I am sure wild hogs are galavanting around in the high grass.  Deer were seen as well.  This lake seems to be full after recent rains near Austin.  It was smooth at daylight and winds picked up to push you across as you fished along bank.  Could see gravel beds near banks where fish had been spawning under the water.  Fish bites all over lake and caught everywhere.  Weeds and grass almost to top of water in shallows, but made boating difficult in shallower parts.  I will be fishing again here very relaxing and serene.  The sun was out at noon and pushed us back to town.  Great Brewery in Granger for lunch if you need some.  Good luck on your next trip to Legacy Oak. sb
