Wife and I got the opportunity to fish Deer Trail on Sunday the 25^th and boy did it show out. We arrived at 6:15 and were on the water by 6:30. On my second cast with a frog I had a huge blow up but missed it, and never got another frog bite all day long. My wife started the morning throwing a buzz bait and landed one on her third or fourth cast, and then never got another topwater bite all day.  We switched to Chatterbait and underspin right down the thick grass edges and it was on. We worked those edges until lunch time and had wracked up 37 bass only culling 6. We stopped to cool off and eat lunch for about an hour, and then went right back to working the edges of the large grass mats.  We managed to catch another 17 fish, only culling 3, by 4:30 when we decided to call it a day. These fish are extremely healthy and are incredible fighters. We've been members of the club for over 5 years and I can't recall a day where we've consistently caught so many fish over three pounds.
