Another fun outing at Triple J. On the water 10am and fished until 6pm. It was mostly clear sunny day, air temp was 80s to uppper 80s with 10-12mph SSE wind. Lake level is highest I’ve seen, water temp was 80s to mid 80s and first time I fished this property with the grass. Started on the northeast corner and found a couple at the point by the duck blind. Went further into pocket and landed a nice 3 pounder close to the fence. Then moved over to the northwest and found few around the laydowns including the first 4 pounder. Took a lunch break 12:30pm and went to the Dam after the break and found only crappie. Got to the southwest corner and found the second 4 pounder and a nice 2.5 pounder, then nothing on the west side. Move over to the east side and it’s where I caught most of the fish. The East laydowns produce few and caught at least 7 fish around the single stump left of the boat launch. Caught 18 largemouth 2 X 4lb, 4 X 3-3.5lb, most were 1.5-2.5lb and 5 culled.
