Got to the lake about 6:30 and stopped at East Lake and tried a swimbait, chatter bait and frog from the bank with no takers.  Went on to West Lake and launched the club boat.  It was nice day with light wind and partly cloudy sky, but the fishing was slow.  Finally caught a nice 4 lb bass at the conner of the dam on a Texas Rig.  Fished along the dam and caight another 5 lb bass on the other corner.  Eventually caught two more in the 3 lb range again along the dam all on the Texas Rig.  Caught three more small ones along the bank and in the trees on the wacky worm, but that was it.  Tried a swimbalit, chatter bait, fluke, and frog, but no luck.  Truth is, catching those nice bass along the dam made it a great trip.  They were fat, healthy, great looking fish at a beautiful place.  Can’t wait for another trip.
