Former pro fishing guide Rich Corcoran and I were greeted with water temp 64 degrees, air temp 85 degrees, virtually no wind, bluebird skies and a great topwater bite. We caught 47 bass, largest being 3.0. “The quality of the bass was terrific. They fought and looked great…tremendous coloring,” said Rich. We used rattlesnake worms, KVD 1.5 sexy shad crank baits and bubblegum hot pink worms. Horny toads were a bust because most of the frog action in the lake was dormant. Lots of fun. Can’t wait for the spring spawn to return.
