On west lake from 7:30-2, did not fish the smaller east lake. Mostly sunny with temps from 73-88. At times, quite windy. Water temp was 72 with 2-4 ft visibility. Steady bites with white chatter bait working in the morning along with flukes mainly along the bank. Largest, 3.10 pictured below, was on a watermelon fluke next to a lay down. After lunch, went to spinner bait for a while. Caught a few in the 3# range. Got to the shallow grassy end about the time the wind really picked up. Instead of packing it in for the day, thought I would throw the frog. Actually just love casting downwind as far as I can with the frog. Not expecting much, proceeded to hammer about half a dozen 3# in 30 minutes. Got in some great casts but had a few really long retrieves with some good ones. Arms got tired but it was worth it. Thanks to the property owned for such a nice place. Will make it back later this year for sure.
