Slow day for this lake.  My son, Cody, me, and guest fished May 1st a day after the heavy rain and flooding.  The water level was very high with a water temp of 73.  The west side of the lake had visibilty of 3-4 feet while the east side was muddy brown with no vis.  We pretty much used everything in the box with a few fish on each type of lure listed.  Topwater bite was very slow and the most consistent was plastics.

The fish minus the culls averaged about 2-3lbs.  We caught one 4lb 14oz female and a couple over 3lbs.  

We have been to The Bluffs before and have done very well so either our tactics were poor today or the recent rain had turned the fish off.

The lake is great with a boat ramp better than you will see at most public lakes. Loads of stucture for the fish and porta potties for the fishers.
