Hal sounds like like you still hit some #s man!

I hoping by end of next week the 80s have warmed up the water, crossing fingers something triggers a really aggressive bite & we can have an outstanding outing.

Speaking of topwaters, you have fished this water waaay more than I.  Whats your go topwater?   Im going to thru a yellow brown Hula Popper, chug bug, zara spook and of course buzz baits.  Curious what you think.

Tight lines !

You going to Cody next week? Should be good. Honestly, I'm not a huge topwater guy. I'll throw a frog or occasionally a buzz bait up in the weeds, or a Whopper Plopper if it's open. Also had a little luck lately on a zman Hellraizr knockoff.

Christopher,

Topwater is my favorite way to fish and although i probably do it a little much, it’s simply too fun to put down.  My three go to baits are:

Yellow Magic (Bone color) – THey have two sizes and i carry both.  They’re like $17/lure so make sure you’ve got them tied on well!  First lure I throw pretty much from now through the end of the year.  You can walk it like a Spook as it’s got great action.

6th Sense Catwalk – Ghost Bone Minnow Color.  This is my best lure at the Willis Point lakes like Salt Lick, Double A, Long Lake, etc. as they have aggressive bass with lots of shad in the lakes.

Buzzbait – Colors vary by location.  If you’r headed to Moonshine anytime soon, throw it over top of the dead lilly pads.

Best of luck!
