The weather has been so bad that I had decided not to go fishing.  I checked the weather forecast for the Post Oak area on Saturday morning and saw that the rain chances were dimininshing by 2:30 PM.  So I booked a last minute reservation and left after lunch.

I arrived and started fishing at 2:30 PM and immediately started catching bass.  The wind was 15-20MPH most of the afternoon and drizzilng rain was off and on for the whole afternoon. Temperatures dropped from the 80s to the low 50s throughout the day (although it was already in the 60s by the time i got there).

I caught 8 along the dam and then turned the corner to the south side of the lake and the fish were STACKED from the bank to 25 feet out from the bank.  The quality was very good with many bass over 4, two  over 6 and one at 7 ½ pounds.  I had only a few that were harvest fish.

This was a far cry from when I had fished there a short while back where the fish were much less aggressive and the average fish size was not nearly so impressive.

The lake was up at a great fishable depth and the water color was as pretty of a color as you could hope for with visibility 3 feet or so.
