Exciting finish to the day...I knew there would be heavy thunderstorms in the afternoon, but what I didn't anticipate was a tornado watch as soon as I got the boat out of the water. Thankful one of the ranch employees was on site and let me shelter with him until it passed! 
 

Now for the fishing…on the water 7a-2p, overcast skies, air temp high of 80, water temp 65 and clarity 48”. Caught the three biggest of the day first thing in the morning on a frog. Caught a few on a swimbait. Then over 20 on a wacky worm-mostly in the submerged timber on the southeast side of the lake. 
 

Absolutely beautiful property! We’re already looking for a weekend to book one of the cabins for our family. And the paved and all weather roads mean this lake is accessible no matter the amount of rain before. Can't wait until the harvesting does it magic and we start consistently getting 2-3lbs bass.
