Before I loaded up the boat, I cast a few times around the hay barrel by the launch area and immediately caught one on a t-rigged creature bait. Since it was a breezy morning, I stuck mostly to the south and east parts of the lakes where the boat wasn’t going to be blown around as much. Most fish were caught on a wacky rigged red senko on the steep drop offs. I switched to a texas rigged baby bass dinger and caught a 4.7 lber on the shallower southern section of the lake. As the morning got windier, I headed in, but not without casting where I did to start the day, catching one more to cap off the morning.

Not a bad day at all for a quick 3 hour morning trip. Looking forward to heading back to Long Lake soon.
