Booked a last minute trip to fish a ½ day (am) at JZS Ranch south of Tulsa Ok.  Left the kayak at home and decided to bank fish only.  Beautiful day with calm to light winds.  

Fished the second most smallest lake at dawn for 1 & ½ hours trying to catch a big one on a bed.  No such luck with only three small bass caught during that time frame.  Pond was very clear with some weed growth and moss beginning to show.

Moved over to the larger lake on the South side and spent the rest of the morning bank fishing there.  Caught lots of fish with most around a pound and a half and a few over 2 pounds.  Most all caught with an H&H spinnerbait.  Not much luck with a plastic worm or Top Water.

Fish were healthly and definitely fought above their weight class.  Water was relatively clear with a bit of a stain.  Walked up on a large black snake on the bank and a dead snapping turtle on the shore.  (Could not determine cause of death).

Some grass and moss beginning to show.  No PWF boat at this location.

Overall a very pleasant morning to fish with a lot of sucess.  No giants but plenty of action most of the morning on the larger pond.

Great ponds to take a new fisherman or a youngster due to plenty of bites and open water around the shorelines..
