I took a friend to Tanner’s Lake and we caought 17.   We fished in the afternoon only and 12 were smaller than slot and we removed them,  The weather was hot but relatively still on the water.  We did have trouble mounting the troll motor on the club boat as the back was split and there was no board for reinforcement.  Take a 2 x4 if you go or two.  We made it work with a piece of board and some cardboard but I was afraid our troll motor might drop off at any moment, but we were careful and not fighting the wind helped!

The lake is about 40% very shallow water and there were bass in there but the algae is starting to bloom and worms had to be weedless and you needed to find the edge to get the bass to hit.  They did have a topwater bite after about 6:30.  50% of the fish were caught then.  We caught two fish over 2 lbs and the rest were 1 lb or smaller.  I never got tthe frog colors they liked and I tried several.

This lake is a work in progress and has fish.  With some rain and continued club manangeemnt I see it being very good in 2-3 seasons.  Thanks to the landowners and club again.
