First trip to Salt Lick this year. The wind was blowing all day and the temps stayed in the 50s. Despite the cold, we still found fish. The water temp was 59 with 2-3 feet visibility. The lake is really full. The trees in the NW corner are fully submerged.

The fishing was slow in the morning. The afternoon bite really improved. We found most fish along the north shore. It made sense, the prevail south with was pushing along the shore and that side of the lake was getting the most sun this time of year.

We tried jigs, worms, jerk baits, and cranks. A shad colored lipless crank was the winner. We had 3 overs around 2 pounds and 6 unders.
