Fished Saturday 10/13 from 7 am to 11:00 am. The wind was howling when I got there at daybreak. It never fails. I fished in the boat and drained my battery fighting the wind and whitecaps till 10 am and finally got out and went to the bank. Caught about 48 fish overall with only about 8 over 14”. Some were close but most were small. I used a frog early in the grass and caught some then switched to a buzzbait and never took it off. They were extremely aggressive with the wave action and were blowing it up over the shallow grass. Did catch some on rattletrap but with wind and grass it was difficult to use. After I got out and went to the other side of lake from the pier I had the wind at my back and walked that whole side chunking the buzz halfway across the lake. I caught around 20 in an hours time and they were literally knocking it out of the water. That was alot of fun.
I still think there might be to many small fish but they were still a heck of a lot of fun to catch.
The water is down some and the grass is really thick right now but should thin as it gets cooler and easier to fish.
The Longhorn that lives there spent alot of time following me around the lake when I was walking, good company.
