Needed to be off the water by 11:30 so did a quick recon trip to Salt and wanted to see how or if the bass were staging yet. Caught 13 in the short time I was there, including one of the largest I've ever caught at Salt.    All the bass were healthy, some with great color.
 

Water temp was still a chilly 59, didn't see any beds and didn't see any males cruising the shallows. Water color and clarity was normal with around 2 ½ ft of viz and typical greenish tint.   Most of the fish were caught in the 15 ft range and I had to check the tongue on a couple because they had the spotted bass look to them.  I did mark one school of active bass and was able to pick off a nice 2 pounder before losing them.
