We faced 20-30mph winds ripping straight down the lake when we arrived, so headed all the way back to the creek in the club boat.  Water was pretty muddy throughout the lake.  We did our best with worms and topwater in the back, but no dice.  East and West shorelines pretty hard to work given the wind but we tried.  Went to the dam shoreline and started to get some action but one guy had to work the boat the whole time to get casts in.  Given the solid treelines, wind from any other direction would have been more manageable, but that wasn’t in the cards today.  My son turned into a fisherman that day, because I was ready to throw in the towel at 1pm, and he said let’s try again with crankbaits (DT-6/firetiger).  Picked up 10 LMB and he caught the biggest crappie of his life (all about 15ft off shore along the dam)!  Will definitely be back!
