Property Name : Hat and Star Ranch
Reservation Date : 03/09/2025 PM - 03/09/2025 PM
Total Fish/Sizes : 8 - biggest 5 lbs.
Lures Used : Spinnerbaits

Mike and I fished from noon until 5:00.  Was a chilly afternoon on the water.  Water temperture was 55 degrees, water claity was a foot and a half and lake looked full.  We caught 8.  The biggest was 5 lbs. and we harvested 2.  All the fish were caught right next to timber.  The only bait we could get to work today was a spinner bait.  This is a beautiful property.

Rick –

Thank you for posting!  Headed to H/S this weekend.  May I ask, what color spinnerbaits you found successful?  Also, did you find the bass all over, or confined to one area?

Trying to figure out if we are still sitting in pre-spawn.

Thanks –

Steve, we used chartreuse & white and chartreuse & blue spinner baits.  The 3/8 oz one worked as well as a ¾ oz with a white fat albert tail. The corner of the dam away from the ramp and then down the far side.  The cove on the right was good and the cove on the left was not productive.  Did not get any this time by the timber in the middle of the lake.  Good luck.  There are big ones in there.  The trip before this one, caught an 8 ¼ and a 5.  Rick
