Fished with member Carl Sparks at Wills Point – Little A and Wild Card lakes. Weather was rainier than expected and cold…very raw but we fought through it and it was worth it! On the water about 11 on Wild Card, water was more turbid than normal with the runoff and bite was slow, picked up one fatty and moved on to Little A. Water at Little A was clearer surprisingly and the bite was on immediately…I missed one on first cast and Carl went back to back on jerk bait right after we launched. We caught about 20 on Little A in just a couple of hours, only 3 were culls, the others were all very healthy fish from 2-3.5 lbs. Jerk bait, lipless crank bait and regular crank bait worked well, also picked one up on chatter bait…they loved erratic presentation, often hitting on stops. Very productive, especially given the conditions, the harvesting our members have been doing there combined with Joe’s management have really turned Little A into a very quality fishery!
