Michael Smith and I had a good afternoon of fishing at the always immaculate Hidden Springs Ranch in Laneville on Saturday March 1st. The weather was warm but the water was still fairly cold. We never could find a pattern for the bass but chased down and equal mix of keepers and culls throughout the afternoon. The wind was light and variable.
One notable difference from the last trip is the aquatic vegetation has increased substantially in the shallower areas. it was a bit of an issue with our fishing plan.
All in all we had a good day! Many thanks to the Landowner’s for allowing us to fish this East Texas gem!
