Later start to this lake but it was very successful. There are a couple of things to know about this property, the boat is in great condition but does require some replacement seats. Both seats will rock back and forth for a very unstable sitting. It seemed to be broken on the bottom. Consider bringing your own or standing as the boat itself is very stable. We had early success throwing black and blue plastic baits near the dam and much better success towards the back end of the lake throwing at stumps and working around weed lines on the shallow end. I highly recommend using big plastic bait near the stumps. We did not have any success throwing white flukes or swimbaits. It really turned on towards the latter part of the evening on the final hour of daylight. We land most of the days fish as it was turning down. Senkos, go hard here. 15 bass 4 culled and 3.5lb the largest but we did have a couple come off and break off.

I’ve had a lot of success there with paddletails, but depends on the sun. If it’s blue bird skies they won’t look up until later in the day. In fact by May on a sunny day they’ll sit up under that snot grass and sometimes I’ve just had to throw a weightless sinko up against the grass. But yep, right now they shouid be in the stump field. Right side can be good too as it has more of a drop off than the far bank. Last 45 minutes I’ve killed it on a spook once the water warms some. 5lber hitting top water is hard to beat. I’ll be out there in the next couple of weeks. Its one of my favorite lakes, but yep, those seats are a disaster. I’d contribute the first $100 just to get them fixed. The front one is unusable. Back is dicy.
