Lures Used : Caught all on Senko / Yum Dinger worms (mostly Texas rig, a few on Wacky rig)

Had another great day at Tear Drop Lakes in Ennis with my 12 yr old son. We fished 6 hours total and caught 18 bass – all very healthy and good fighters. Caught 10 bass between 10am – 12pm in perfect weather conditions. A little warmer in the afternoon and the water was very still, but caught another 8 between 1:30 – 5:00pm. We caught all fish in middle lake along the bank across from the pier / parking area. My son caught a 4.1 lbs bass around 3pm, which is a personal best for him as a new angler. The smaller bass are healthy and put up a good fight, but the 4 lb’er surprised us both and my son had a blast getting that bad boy to the bank. This is a great place to bank fish if you want to catch some fun bass and enjoy the beautiful landscape and being outdoors. I have previously caught smaller bass in the third lake by the tall grass, but didn’t fish that lake this trip. We’ll be back for sure. It’s a first class property.
