Fished Escondido on Wednesday from 8 AM until around 4 PM. The water level was good and it was easy to launch my kayak. 
 

Water visibility was only about one foot and there was not much vegetation. I started fishing the bank and the boat dock with various top water baits and swim baits – no hits. The rest of the morning I tried almost everything across the whole property again without a strike. I could see multiple fish either struck to the bottom or suspended and tried jigs, TX rigged worm, wacky worm, suspending jerk baits , , , still now strikes. 
 

Around noon, I decided to try the small rock piles on the  bank opposite from the dock with a shallow running crank bait and caught a couple. I then continued using the same lure to fish the small tree stumps where the lily pads usually grow. That is where I caught the rest of my catch for the day. 
 

i ended the day with 9 culls and 2 “releases at the kayak”.
