Fished a bright warm afternoon at the beautiful Post Oak lake with my buddy John Bedore.  The first things we noticed was the brisk south wind and clear with some very intersting cirrus clouds later on.  Temperature got up to 83 degrees.  Water was low and clearer that usual in the main lake with visibility up to 4 ft.  Visibiilty on the other side of the bridge was just a few inches.

The afternoon started very slowly with just a few hits in scattered areas of the lake, with meager action in the usual shallow and deeper areas on a wide variety of lures.  Fortunately for our egos, in late afternoon after the wind started easing we finally ran into a bunch of feeding fish that liked our jerkbaits and lipless crankbaits, and were able to chase these for a while.  Most fish were smaller than we’ve been seeing recently, harvested about half of what we caught but several were nice size, 17” or more, and all were strong fighters..
