Enjoyed a break in the cold weather with an afternoon visit to BlackJack.  The ranch is well-manicured as usual, a pleasure to see,  along with the curious cattle in the pasture and their energetic calves.

The lake is a foot or two below full level, water unusually clear with visibility 5 ft or more.  Lots of deep grass in a large portion of the lake.  Fish hit several types of soft plastics and jerkbaits in many areas of deeper water, with just a few in shallower parts.  Didn’t run in to any big gals but had fun with the hungry fighters that got hooked.
