School was out, so my 10 yr old and I set out to catch some numbers. The back pond at Sandy Creek is as good as any for that. 
We landed a total of 66 in just over 5 hours.  Of those, 63 were under 14” and harvested. 
We got bites on almost everything we threw….swimjig, wacky stickbait, spinnerbait, lipless, 4” grub on swimbait jighead.

We also used the time to get him some practice with the baitcaster (using wind direction to his advantage).

If you go, I would use caution when parking near the dock and also when walking around the property. It looks as if hogs have done quite a number on the ground all the way around. There are large holes all over that you might not see right away as you approach the dock area by vehicle. We were there 3 weeks ago, and none of the damage was present at that time.
