My uncle and I’s first PWF trip of 2025. We were on the water by about 8:00 or so. The water was down maybe a foot or two from our previous trip here and probably down three to five feet in total. On the main lake the water left of the dock is relatively shallow. I don’t think we saw any depths any deeper than about three feet. We didn’t get any bites in this area as it’s too shallow for this time of the year. We used the canal to access the back lake, but I don’t think we had any bites back there on this trip. The water is extremely muddy back there compared to the main lake. All our bites came on the southeast side of the lake. I hooked a 4lb and 3lb fish and my uncle had a couple of 2s. We harvested 8 fish and returned 7. Only a couple of those were dinks. Wind started to gust out of the north so by about 2:30 we called it a day. The lake has a lot of shallow water, and depending on the time of the year the lake can fish a lot smaller than it actually is. I would guess that this place would be on fire come the spawn. All in all we had a good trip!
