Tried getting out in provided jon boat to fish the timber but the wind was brutal at 17-20mph. Retreated to the shore. It was 5hrs in before I caught the first bass on a wacky worm. Switched to lipless after lunch and caught a few more. Lost a very nice 4-5lb at the dock. It was like slow motion watching the crank come out as she was out of the water shaking. Not gonna lie, I may have cussed. 
 

it's a beautiful place. Homeowners were very nice. Will have to go back when the wind is way down.
