Lures Used : swim jig worked slowly, lightly-weighted senko
Fished 2/7 with a high temp of around 82, water clarity about 1.5 to 2 feet, cloudy and breezy. The property owner is in the process of clearing his land of trees and brush, I’m guessing to better run his sheep. The short drive to the lake once you enter the gate is challenging currently, so it probably wouldn’t be wise to bring a low-clearance vehicle.
This lake is down about five feet, so naturally it has shrunk quite a bit in acreage, but the bass are still hungry. The back tree area is now high and dry, but it sure fishes well when it’s flooded! The 18 culls are the most I can remember ever removing from this lake. The bait they liked most was a medium to large swim jig with any type of craw trailer. Slow retrieve & pop worked, quicker did not. Love this property!
