Met up with fellow member John Egan for a fun moring session at KBar. We both arrived just before sunrise and started the day throwing from the bank on Lake Raymond and then ended the half day session with some success on Golden Pond. In all, we caught 25 bass with a couple in the 16 – 17” range (the biggest came from GP). I had most of my success on the lipless and had 15 culls while John threw his California colored Pit Boss and had 3 culls. All the fish were healthy and a couple of the females were starting to show some belly. John had most of his success in the SE corner of LR & GP. I had most of my hits along the western shoreline of LR particularily in the NW corner by the property fenceline.

All the lakes are full with GP sporting the clearest water (~ 4-5ft), Raymond 2 – 3ft and maybe ~ 1ft on the Big tank. GP has some healthy submerged grass while Lake Raymond’s appeared to be dying from the recent freeze.

Raymond (the onsite ranch manager) stopped by and chatted for a bit. He has positioned the big jon boat on the SW corner of LR and has moved the smaller jon boat to the SW corner of GP for the club members to use this spring.
