I arrived at Hat and Star around 9:40 am with temperatures in the mid 40’s up to 60’s. I had blue bird skies and went out in the kayak for a solo trip. Unfortunately, I left my tournament trough at home because I got blessed with two over 22” and weighing over 6 lbs. I caught and released 4 orthers in between 17” and 18”. Finally, I culled 10 on Saturday. I used the innovative swimbaits in shad color.
