First time at this property and it is a beautiful, secluded spot.  Enjoyed the backroad drive from Dallas.

The lake was stained and borderline muddy which surprised me because there wasnt a lot of wind.  It was a bluebird, high pressure day and 75 degrees.  Fished 4 hours and caught a 6, 3, and 2 pounder on a deep crankbait, spinner bait, and chatter bait.  Tough bite but was fun to catch the 6.  The fish are very healthy.

Tried plattic worms, swimbaits, Alabama rig, and rattles without success.  Good day away from the office and little ones by my lonesome!

Jay,

You will be just fine with this set up. I have the same 10 ft buster boat on a trailer and have used it there several times. I have also brought by 16 foot alumnicraft shock boat with a Yamaha 50 HP on the road and it went great. The reason, we went a bit overboard on the rough road, is we were concerned a member might show up with a lower profile car and might have a problem. Any small SUV would be just fine and taking a trailer is just fine.
