Hi everyone!

This trip was more about getting some fresh air, returning to fishing, and relaxing. Less about catching. On the water at 10AM, off the water by 2PM. Did not get the temperatures or conditions details. Used the nice club boat which doesn’t leak.

It is a beautiful property and easy to navigate to the lake. Please note there is not a dock here. More like a small land bump with some driftwood piled on top. I fished the perimeter of the lake going clockwise for 2 complete laps. Mainly held the crappie rod with a white beetlespin in my hands for the majority of my time. The three dinks were caught on the jig, beetlespin, and wacky worm.

I haven’t been fishing in ~6 months so this was more about getting out and enjoying the quiet time. Have a lot on my mind this year and going through some stuff so it was SO NICE to get out again.

Lovely property that feels secluded and off the grid. Land owner drove by and we exchanged a friendly wave. I will likely return despite the 2 hour drive to the property.

To all my fellow members:

Looking for some suggestions on properties I should visit this next year. I prefer “trash fishing” and catching numbers of all fish species. I also prefer the off-the-grid properties that are not surrounded by houses. So far I have been to Travis Lake (my favorite), Culpepper Farms, Julian Lake, Pecan Gap, Bedrock Lake (Another Favorite), Briar Branch, Little A Lake, Crossroads, Flying J, Tear Drop Lakes.

Is there a Top 10 “must-fish lakes” or anything like that? Looking for some suggestions.

Hope everyone has a nice new year. ๐ŸŽ‰

Thank you!!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Two of my favorites  not on your list are Blue Rock (if you liked Little A) where I’ve had some great days.  Also, Twin Lakes in Ben Wheeler is a great property with 2 lakes to fish and very secluded feel.

I appreciate the reply, David. I will for sure give them a try this year! Tight lines, brother!
