Fished from 10 AM to 3 PM with my middle kid & we had a blast! Yes, fishing was part of the fun, but talking, laughing and walking around the lake was the best part. Planned to use the boat, but after catching 3 from shore to start we decided to walk around the lake and were rewarded for that decision. All but three fish were caught on bluegill colored chatterbait with spunk shad trailer. At the end of the day, I was lazily throwing a wacky worm and enjoying the weather when I caught three-one the last of which on my last cast was our 5th 4 pounder of the day. Much fewer small fish than previous trips over the last couple years. Harvesting is working. All in all, a great trip!
