It was a slow drizzle when we arrived around 2pm. Then around 5pm the skies opened up and it was coming down.  The lake is in good shape. we harvested and took home 16 bass 10 to 12 inches. The usual baits plastics and spinners.  I have one editorial comment to make, well maybe two.  One, any thing you bring in cans, bottles, bags, boxes and paper should be taken with you when you leave. whoever was there before me had left trash that the coons or something got into and it was a mess. When we came back around 8pm to go home I was going to pick up the trash. but I was challenged by a cottonmouth. Deciding I didnt want to spend time in Sulphur Springs emergency room I bowed to the snake. I’m sure it was after mice and not me. so two things; pick up your mess, do not leave things in any 55 gallon drums and be careful as snakes are on the move.

Bob,

Thanks for report and the report of trash. As our members know, we have a zero tolerance policy regarding trash. I will speak to the owner to apologize and speak to the offending members.

Sincerely,

Steve
