We met the very nice owner, thank you. This was my first time at Briar Branch. It was a pretty awesome day to go out and fish. Weather was sunny and comfortable. The water level was probably 3-4' low. The water clarity was around 1.5' and the water temp was at 53-54 degrees. Fishing turned on almost immediately when we started around 1 pm. Bass were found along the perimeter grassline and also out in deeper water. Deepest water i found was 10', but the majority caught were in 3-5' of water. I made sure the grass in the water was green. Bright colors worked best considering the dingy water. We enjoyed Briar Branch and fished until 5 pm. We ended with 37 bass and 2 nice crappie. Most fish caught were above the slot and fought hard. Thank you owner and PWF!

Looked like a good day on the water. I may go there Tuesday (or somewhere). I fished BB my 2nd or 3rd club excursion a few years ago. Has decent numbers of scrappy fish. Still think there ought to be a couple 5-7lbers in there.

Thanks John. I hope you get out there and catch a 5-7 #. I don’t know why there wouldn’t be considering the sizes we were catching. I just couldn’t manage to catch a kicker that day. They were pulling on the line pretty hard said my daughter. It was her birthday, so I was happy to bring her to a place she was able to catch a few that were not dinks.
