Bass fishing has been tough here. We caught about 7 fish total , largest about 3 pounds, AM fishing. My last two trips here something small keep chasing baits to the shore. I am beginning to think it’s Crappie.I talked to the neighbor and he states this is a Premier Crappie lake….
We observed large numbers of ducks on the lake Sat. The Boy Scouts had a field trip and we saw many young lads having a great time tent camping, cooking out, fishing, and generally just having a ball. Brought back memories…..

How do the scouts get access?  I am part of a troop in Argyle, and they might enjoy fishing and camping there.

Dean,

The landowner of this lake is on the board of directors for the Circle Ten council and has one or two of his local troops to use the property on occasion. As a club, we receive dozens of calls each year, many of them are scout troops, to fish on our properties. We have hosted several charity events for youth and Hereos on the Water over the past few years, but simple cannot accomodate scout requests, as it opens a pandoras box and the requests are simply too many.
