Booked an all day trip on saturday I had the boat in the water by eight. Lake is full water temp was 51-54 it is a bit murkey and no grasses to worry about. My main focus was the crappie but i struck out completely on them. I made several passes around the lake trying as many depths,patterns,lure type, color,and presentation. I was able to land two small bass on a black and blue lizard. I had a few more pick ups but they were dropping before i could set the hook. I guess the cold front and high pressure caused them all to have lock jaw. This is a great property and I have had lots of success over the years. Regardless of the slow bite it was still a great way to spend the day.
