Wife and I fished Harding on Saturday under cloudy to sunny conditions calm in the AM picking up to very gusty by noon. Water temps were 65F and viz was probably 2.5FT with lots of shoreline decaying vegetation, We managed to land 24 up to 2.75lbs with 12 being harvesting – but all fish were pretty good size between 13 and 15 inches and healthy. We tried several baits but the most effective was T-Rig Cut-R worm in Junebug. Also, picked up 2 on a white squarebil. To get a bite, you had to be in the front of the boat getting first shot and they only wanted the T-Rig strolled just so – ticking the weeds, etc. Saw a large bait ball with chasers on the fish finder 10FT down in 17FOW, but could not coax them to bite at all. What a great property – paved entry and road, automatic gate, reed-lined lake, large stable pontoon boat. We’ll try it again for sure!
