Property Name : Tear Drop Lakes
Reservation Date : 11/16/2024 AM -
Total Fish/Sizes : 8 bass (7 1-2# and 1 nearly 4#)
Lures Used : Caught all on Senko (Texas and Wacky rigs)

Fished top lake first for two hours and caught a Crappie about 5 mins in with a spinner bait off the fishing dock. Unsuccessful with crankbait and chatterbait. About an hour in I moved to the side bank by the tall grass and cast out with Senko and worked it back in toward grass. Caught 2 1-2# bass in the last 30 minutes. The wind was blowing hard into the tall grass, and it seemed the fish were hanging out there waiting for food to float their way. It was also colder that first hour, and things seemed to be getting more active as the sun came out.

Moved to the middle lake for the second two hours and was much more successful. Struck out for the first 30 minutes trying chatterbait and whopper plopper, but did get one nice strike on the plopper, though it missed. Switched to Senko, which I should have just fished all day, and worked it up and down the bank between the group of sticks sticking out of the water and the inlet / finger area (included picture for that bank area). Reeled in 6 bass for the next hour and a half (few pics attached). In the last 15 minutes I switched to a wacky rig for the Senko and caught the 3.12# one, and lost another good sized one close to the bank as he ran into the grass, and the last one I hooked ended up snapping my line in that thick grass that reaches out about 6 feet from the shore. The big boys were coming out to feed and loved the wacky Senko, but I ran out of time. I feel like I could have caught a dozen more if I could have stayed. It made for a great late morning fish on an incredibly beautiful property.

Thanks to the owner and PWF, and I’ll be back with my son to fish that middle lake again soon. Very fun bank fishing.
