Wanted to try somewhere new and have looked at Culpepper Farms several times since it came on the club, so my uncle John Jordan and I made the two-hour trek to Culpepper. Very nice property with a paved road and concrete launch. The lake was low probably 3-4 feet. Got bit almost instantly but it was sharply downhill from there. We made four or five laps around the lake with hardly any success. We threw the tackle box at them and just couldn’t get them to bite in the 4 hours we were there. Caught three total with no pattern at all. The lake is relatively shallow especially at the south end. South end is in about 1-2 feet of water right now so unless you’re in a kayak it’s not passable. The lake is 14 acres but is fishing much smaller right now by boat. No issues with the landowner’s dog as previous reports have mentioned.
