Booked a full day but due to contractors showing up for a remodel project and stopped traffic for highway construction I did not get to property till 10:00.  I was using the lake boat and found the seats next to the ramp but the boat was across the lake so took a little hike with paddle and brought back to ramp to load up.

Air temp in mid 60’s, overcast with enough wind to put a ripple on the water.  Did not have electronics with me so did not get a water temp but fish seemed to be cooler than the air temp when landing.

It was one of those days that you could probably throw anything and get a bite.  I stayed primarily with my stand by Pop-r and underspin/fluke.  I did catch at least one fish on buzz bait, plastic worm and jerk bait.

Being the first time I do not know what vegetation is normally like but bait fished at any depth less than 4’ would come back with black decomposing veg.

Finished up by 3:00 and decided to drive over to second lake but did not fish.  Ran into the owner and had nice visit and learned that a previous owner was going to convert the ranch to a golf course which is why the concrete paths are there.  Glad it satyed as a fishing hole.

BTW, I left the boat at the ramp so hopefully that is where it usually is.
