My father Rick Svoboda and I went to Rough Creek Lodge Saturday afternoon.

While throwing a top water frog in the pads I watched this 2 lb frog hop over and hit my bait. He missed it the first time and I thought it was maybe a snake at first so I casted back in there and ended up hooking him.  This is a definate first for me.

I also caught my largest “club” fish to date a 24 1/8 inch on a spinner bait.

Overall we caught 17 fish between the two of us. the 24 1/8 a 20, 19 1/2, 19 and a 18 were the 5 best. Most caught on spinner baits in the creeks.  A few caught on DD22’s out in the main lake.

The lake looked like it was in the process of turning over.
