I fishes Monday and Tuesday. Really muddy, maybe two inches of visibility. My kayak has a mud ring on it and all my line is brown. Wasn;t expecting that and I don’t know if that is typical for this lake. I caught a lot of fish though. Crank baits and chatterbaits obviously, anything putting out a vibration they could find in the murk. One over five on the chaterbait, and two over five on a Mattlures Hard Gill. If you stand on the ramp and look left there is a dead tree hanging a bit over the water. Right in front of that tree abount twenty feet is where I sat Tuesday and I caught a fish every cast Tuesday throwing out away from the bank. I just inadvertently found where they were hanging out and assume that is where the depth starts dropping off. The cove on the far end was full of bass as well. I threw a soft swimbait over there (BattleShad 8) and got bit every single cast and managed to hook zero fish, which is why I never use that bait. Tons of dead grass and leaves on the ottom that fouled up my attemts at deep craking and Texas rigs, so I stuck to the 10 foot or less water throwing the baits I meantioned. Around 11AM on Tuesday it turned off like a light switch and I didn’t get another bite so I assume these bass were really affected by the sun’s position that day.
