Our 1st trip to Lake TCU was amazing, and the property lived up to all I hoped it would be.  The first cold-front blew in over night, winds around 15-16mph on water still managable in our 10’ Pelican w/55lb TM + Lithium battery.

We nailed (9) on the morning trip, coming off Tx rigged Yum Dinger, buggest coming off the dock within 45 min. Weighed 2.54 on digital scale, which shocked us she looked closer to 3.25lbs.

Left @ 10:30am, had lunch, went home.  Came back @ 4pm to a perfectly calm and hot pond…..polar opposite of the am where we wore swears and hoodies.  I was worried, ive had better fishing in the wind, than dead calm waters. The bite was slower 4P-6P, but still caught 4-5 bass.

The last 30 min of the day was the most exciting, with bass along the edges of bank, and the small islands. Tied on a white jerk bait for my son, and he started wearing them out.  Only diving 6”-12”, he was able to stay above the vegatation and trigger aggressive bites.

(21) total, with 2 culled.  The water level appeared to be down about 3’, so the fact we havent had much rain at all in 6-10 weeks and still caught 21 was truly remarkable.

The Reeves boys will be back again, grateful for the opportunity to fish such a gorgeous property.
