We were so bummed when we lost Brushy Creek.  We headed out to this new lake early Saturday morning.  We were on the water by 7:30 am and fished til 1:30.  Were it not for the heat and the UT game, we would still be fishing!!!  First and foremost, this property is GORGEOUS!!  BUT – if you are looking to spend the day floating around on your boat and enjoying a lazy day looking at the scenery – this AIN’T the lake for you!  Between the two of us we caught 80 bass.  I would say we only culled about 15%.  These fish were fat, happy, and FIGHTERS.  We spent about 4 hours throwing Poppers, Whopper Ploppers, and Frogs.  When the sun got higher and the temps got warmer we switched to Texas Rigs and Chatterbaits.  They seemed to like the plum colors the best.  Whenever we got to the grass I threw a frog  – there’s nothing like it in my book.  1000 THANK YOUS to the landowners and to Private Water for giving us such an incredible day of memories!!  We can’t wait to go back.
