Got there at sunup. Conditions were not ideal, or even good, but I was coming down to buy an RV and just wanted to see the lake. Right off the bat I got a bite on the Bucca Bull Gill I was throwing. Ten yards down the bank I landed my fist fish of the day about four feet off the bank. I stopped counting around eight fish because it was so fast. I switched to a Project Z Chatterbait and it was even faster. Half my casts the bait was taking off before I even started reeling. All fish were close to the same size at around two pounds. I met the owner and he showed me a detailed feature map and told me the heat was going to keep the bigs down in the deeper parts of the lake, but as soon as it drops a little more the fishing will be excellent for size. I had to leave around 3 because my kayak started handling weird and sure enough was full of water, but I’d like to come back down to this spot because I think it will pump out some hefty fish. Water was fairly stained, but not so much I couldn’t see my bait most of the time.
