Nice day but warm—80 when I started at 7AM, mid-90s by 4PM when I quit. Sunny. Light breeze. Not being familiar with AA and fishing solo without electronics it was difficult to locate fish. I didn't get a bite for over three hours working around the shoreline about 10-30 yards from bank. I saw plenty of top water action around me, so I stuck with it. Once I did locate fish it was on. I was able to boat 7, all healthy and solid. Unfortunately I'd forgotten my net (and my paddle, which made landing the Jon boat a real challenge in the stiffening breeze). Netless, I lost three at tbe boat, one with my lure it's its mouth when my line snapped and another that thrashed so quickly when I grabbed its lip that it put a treble hook into my thumb deep enough that I needed a pliers to extract it. So, look for a nice-sized fish with my lure in its mouth and my blood spotting the boat. Apologies for both.
